Oscar Rent A Car gives you privilege to pass South Side of the Island with special permission. We will give written permission with your contract and copy of the log book which will both be staped. From Metehan Check point you can get free charge of permission for the car too use at South Side of the island. Authority at South Cyprus does not recognize our insurances you will need to insure the car at check point with extra insurance which will cost you € 25 per month. Metehan Check Point is only place to make this procedures. Office for permission at the Metehan Check Point is only open Monday to Friday between 08.00 till 14:00 (please check national or religious holidays from Cyprus Public Holidays - publicholidays.eu),insurance offices are open during the week.
Once you have finish this procedures you can then travel through any driving check point which are open 24 hours a day.
It will be impossible to deliver the car to South Cyprus and the car must be returned to a location at North Cyprus.
